June to early September on the Atlantic coast. July and August are warmest and most settled; late August gives you dark evenings again, quieter roads and the first autumn colour.
When to ride in Norway
- Daylight
- Effectively endless in June; still around fifteen hours in late August, when darkness returns and the sky gets colour again.
- Wind
- Atlantic weather crosses the coast in bands. The wind can turn within a day — check the forecast each morning rather than the week.
- Surface
- Sealed throughout, with exposed bridge and causeway sections where crosswind matters more than gradient.
